Unique performances for marine applications: Poynting introduces 2 new OMNI-directional antenna's: OMNI-493 & OMNI-293

Poynting proudly introduces two brand new OMNI-Directional antenna solutions into their product lineOMNI-493 and OMNI-293. . Presenting these two new products, Poynting significantly expands its product portfolio. With the exact same electrical specifications, the OMNI-493 is specifically designed for marine applications, while the OMNI-293 is aimed at more inland environments.

Mounted in the same housing as the OMNI-402, the OMNI-493 antenna has been precisely designed to cover all existing and new frequencies from 617 MHz (for Band 71: 617-698 MHz) up to and including 3800 MHz. The CDMA bands are not covered. The antenna is produced to perform well on the lower bands in addition to the higher bands. For example, Poynting enables adding some reach ensuring higher and better throughput. The antenna is a perfect addition to Poynting's Marine and Coastal portfolio. For those who are not willing to compromise on performance, using this antenna will ensure you of enjoying 3G, 4G and 5G connectivity at sea or in remote areas with a tremendous achievement of throughput. This is a SISO antenna.

The OMNI-293 is the urban version of this antenna and competes somewhat with the OMNI-292. The main difference is that the OMNI-293 covers the 5G frequencies very well, where the OMNI-292 not fully provides you with this service. In addition, the OMNI-293 performs excellently on Band 71 (617 – 698 MHz) which is being developed in several countries. In this way, the Poynting OMNI-293 is a future-proof antenna, which is suitable for both the lower 600 MHz frequencies and the higher 3.4-3.8 GHz.

Both antennas are designed with superior pattern control across the entire frequency range, making them the most omni-directional OMNIs available!
