Prestigious connectivity with Celerway ARCUS: now available at MiFi-Hotspot.com

New and available at MiFi-Hotspot.nl: Celerway Mobile First

VoyagerIP dives into Celerway's ARCUS and raises its sails with the result

As a yacht owner wherever you go, you know better than anyone how important speed, cost and availability of connectivity is. Especially for you Celerway's ARCUS router has been put through a critical test by Voyager IP.

The innovative company Celerway specializes in the design and manufacture of industrial mobile multi-WAN routers. Based in Norway (Oslo), Celerway pursues the mission: 'To keep business ahead of the mobile curve'. ARCUS is Celerway's progressive router to which Celerway has applied the latest developments and innovations: a very powerful and robust multi-WAN router that recently started supporting the 5G network. ARCUS can combine up to three integrated cellular modems even cellular with satellite.

Voyager IP focuses on the specialization in design, installation, configuration, and management of all communication systems on board: from cellular to local Wi-Fi points for optimal performance marine environments.

Conclusion of the test?

Voyager IP sets sail with ARCUS discovering premium yacht connectivity. Not only did the ARCUS appear to be the right choice on paper Celerway's ARCUS also proved to be a great success in a real-world scenario. ARCUS is considered a router of wide applicability, which is relevant not only for yachts but also in many other cases of use at sea where yacht connectivity is a challenge in itself.

How the Voyager IP test was conducted:

In the challenging scenario of an international trip the performance of ARCUS has been scrutinized. With cruising speeds of 8 to 12 knots the 44-metre yacht Timmerman made its way from Italy to Turkey as the yacht passed the coastline. “All the while, ARCUS provided continuous connectivity across its extended mobile service range. No outages or disconnections occurred during transmission between cell towers and network operators without any impact on the user experience. Throughout the test ARCUS ensured at least one mobile module with a very strong high-quality signal for connectivity,” said Richard McGrath, Operations Manager Voyager IP.

A superior end-user experience is not the only important result. Yacht management information, such as engine management data, should be sent to the central department regularly if the yacht is within range of strong cellular signals. Yacht management can rest assured that with ARCUS such important and time-sensitive data is sent and received quickly and accurately.

Due to Celerway's mobile-first approach and its ability to take maximum advantage of mobile data networks while managing their unpredictability ARCUS' delivered an exceptional performance for both onboard experience and yacht management. Other features unique to Celerway technology include advanced WAN diversity and an innovative implementation of Smart Queue Management that goes beyond classic QoS approaches. In addition, the robust hardware provides the processing power to support these unique software features.

Celerway is known for its ‘mobile-first’ nature having designed its entire portfolio with mobile in mind. For yachts, 3G and 4G are the most common today but ARCUS contains up to two integrated backward compatible 5G modems. Therefore, ARCUS is a future-proof solution for yacht connectivity supporting the rising 5G network.

The innovative and progressive ARCUS is now available at MiFi-Hotspot.nl Are you curious about Celerway’s other products? Please contact MiFi-Hotspot.nl info@mifi-hotspot.nl.
